After graduating from ODU in 2000, Christian traveled the state working in pediatrics, industrial rehab, orthopedics/neurological rehab, home health, and ergonomics. In 2006 with the love and support of his family and a final coaxing by his wife Darby, he dove into starting Synergy PT. Christian’s focus was on opening a new type of PT clinic that can focus on patient care with more 1 on 1 attention and personalized treatment programs taking the “cookie cutter” out of Outpatient PT. Synergy PT has allowed Christian to share his love for improving health and function through physical therapy by creating sensible, yet aggressive rehab and exercise programs. He has also been able to mentor students of local PT schools and through teaching with South University’s PTA program.

  • HOLLY KIRKS, PT, DPT, OCS, CDN

    Holly Kirks is a DPT with a focus on outpatient orthopedics and sports performance, having additional certifications to include orthopedic certified specialty (OCS), dry needling, and in performing functional capacity evaluations. Holly received her education in kinesiology at the University of Virginia and continued her doctoral training at Old Dominion University. She has a background in gymnastics and soccer and currently is a USA Gymnastics judge for Virginia. Holly enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, visiting Charlottesville breweries and wineries with her fiancé, going to country concerts, and doing all things outdoors.

    What Holly loves most about working for Synergy PT and Athletic Performance is the ability to provide quality, direct 1-on-1, uninterrupted care in a fun and supportive environment, which has been unmatched.
